Plus, you wanted to take control of your life. You were longing to choose when you work and when you play, who you work with, and how much you earn.
And, let's be real, you were ready for the security of knowing you couldn’t be fired or sidelined on the whim of the big guys in the corporate office.
It was time to control your own destiny.
You pulled the trigger and officially started your business. You jumped in with both feet, ready to do whatever it takes. You watched all the webinars from gurus who tell you about the latest strategy to find new clients. You bought one or two (or ten!) online courses to "learn" how to be an overnight success in this crazy world of being an entrepreneur.
Each day, you work harder and harder, yet never quite seem to get the momentum you want. You get a client here and there, but it's always a struggle, and you're just plain tired, with a bank account that continues to contract.
How did this happen??????
You are smart, powerful, and have so many gifts to share, yet it's just not coming together. It's a whole new world when you leave the security of a corporate infrastructure, with a team of support people and clear systems and game plans (even if you hate them!) to live in a world where the buck stops with you...on everything.
When you decided to start your business, it was all about your burning desire to have the freedom and flexibility to make money doing what you love. Your big vision, right? You dreamed of doing business your way, in an authentic, heart-centered way, and serving clients that can truly benefit from your gifts and that inspire you everyday.
But the problem is all the other stuff....the business of running a business. Who knew there was so much to learn when you start a business! And each new thing you do to get new clients adds more confusion, more overwhelm, and more pressure. Pretty soon, you find you're spending most of your time running the business versus doing what made you leave your job in the first place.
You're tired, sad, and frustrated and perhaps even considering giving up because you aren't making the income you need to support yourself, let alone create the lifestyle you imagined.
